An independent nursery and prep school in Hove is to become part of the Roedean “group” along with a day school in Eastbourne.
Deepdene School, in New Church Road, Hove, has already been working with Roedean School in Brighton for the past year.
Roedean said: “The announcement today is recognition of the benefits that both schools have been able to enjoy over this period.
“Deepdene School will continue to be an independent school, developing and delivering its own aims but, as a partner school, it will benefit from the leadership and investment opportunities of being part of the group.”
Deepdene head Elizabeth Brown said: “We are delighted to formalise our partnership and membership of the Roedean group and look forward to continuing to work with Roedean for the mutual benefit of our staff and pupils alike.”
Moira House, an independent day school in Eastbourne, is also joining the group next month.
Roedean head Oliver Blond, who is also the executive head of the Roedean Group of Schools, said: “We look forward to working with staff and pupils at Moira House and Deepdene, sharing in the increased opportunities for shared training and development.
“Together, the Roedean Group of Schools will provide an academically strong provision across a wider geographical area for the benefit of a greater number of pupils in the region.”
