Firefighters are currently on the scene of a house fire in Rottingdean.
The blaze has broken out in the fascia of the building. None of the houses in Newlands Road are high rises.
The road is blocked while crews of four fire engines and the aerial ladder platform tackle the flames.
An East Sussex Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said: “We were called at 10.57 to reports of a house fire in Newlands Road in Rottingdean.
“As of 11.34am four fire engines and the aerial ladder platform are at the scene.
“Crews are using breathing apparatus and hose reels to deal with a fire in the fascia.”
