A missing Portslade schoolgirl, Alice Lastra-Wescomb, has been found safe, Sussex Police said this afternoon (Wednesday 24 May).
The force issued a public appeal on Monday afternoon to try to find Alice, 14, who left for school in Shoreham on Monday morning but failed to arrive.
This afternoon Sussex Police said: “Police are pleased to report that 14-year-old Alice Lastra-Wescomb who went missing on Monday morning from Portslade has been found.
“She was found safe in the Crawley area on Tuesday evening (23 May).
“Thank you to everyone who shared our messages and helped to look for Alice.”
