A Hove school which closed today after a burst water pipe flooded its ground floor will reopen tomorrow.
Parents were told by text this morning not to send their children into St Andrew’s Primary School in Belfast Street.
The text read: “St Andrew’s School is closed until further notice due to a burst water pipe. Ground floor is under water and there is no water. We will send update at lunchtime.”
Brighton and Hove City Council said the decision had been made because of concerns it could affect the electrics.
Later this afternoon, he added: “We can confirm that St Andrew’s School, Hove, will be open tomorrow as usual (on April 4 2017). It was closed today, following a water leak from a pipe inside the building. Checks have been undertaken and the school has been passed safe to occupy.”
