A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of bottling a man on Brighton seafront and injuring his face.
Sussex Police issued an appeal for witnesses this afternoon (Monday 27 March).
The force said: “A 22-year-old man from London has sustained a serious injury to his face following an altercation in Brighton.
“Shortly after 3.20am on Saturday (25 March) an altercation broke out between two groups in King’s Road Arches.
“The victim was attacked with what is believed to be a broken bottle causing deep lacerations to his face.
“The victim was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment and was discharged later the same day.
“A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of GBH (grievous bodily harm) and has been bailed until (Friday) 26 May while police continue with the investigation.
