A hanglider was rushed to hospital after crashing close to Ditchling Beacon on Saturday afternoon.
The air ambulance was called after the crash at about 2.40pm to reports the glider had hurt themselves.
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “We were called at approximately 2.40pm on Saturday to reports a handglider had come down and suffered injuries.
“The location was described as near Ditchling Beacon off Streat Lane. An ambulance crew, air ambulance and paramedics from our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) attended the scene.
“The handglider was assessed and treated for an injury to his shoulder before being taken as a priority by road to Royal Sussex County Hospital.”
