Brighton and Hove Albion have agreed a one-year contract extension with captain Bruno Saltor, the club said today (Monday 13 March).
The 36-year-old Seagulls skipper’s current agreement will now run until June next year.
Albion manager Chris Hughton said: “Bruno has earned his extension. He has played almost every league game and sets a great example on and off the pitch. He has been a model professional and has been a great player to work with.
“He’s been really consistent throughout my time here and has been one of our key players. He works hard to keep himself in great shape and looks after himself very well. I’m delighted he has extended his time with the club.”
The Barcelona-born right-back is in his fifth season at Falmer, having joined from Valencia in 2012, and has made more than 150 appearances for the Seagulls. He was made club captain last summer.
He previously played more than 100 La Liga matches, in a career that includes the Spanish sides Espanyol, Lleida and Almeria.
