A 17-year-old boy was left needing stitches and with scarring on his face after two men launched an unprovoked attack on him as he walked along a residential road.
The victim was walking along Staplefield Drive shortly before midnight on Friday when he was attacked by two men described as wearing tracksuits, one in all grey and one in all black.
It’s not known at this stage what weapon was used to cut the young victim’s face.
Two men, aged 19 and 22, from the Brighton area were arrested close to the scene along with an 18 year old woman. All three have been bailed until 4 March.
Detective Sergeant Cheryl Lewendon said: “This is a serious incident which has left a young man with significant scarring to his face.
“Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or may have information that would assist the investigation.
