The Brownies have been given a boost by the police in Brighton and Hove with a donation out of the proceeds of crime.

A cheque for £300 has been given to the 3rd Hangleton Brownies, based at St Helen’s Church, by PC Mark Davis.
Sussex Police said: “The 3rd Hangleton Brownies offer all sorts of activities and the money will be used to support them and replace equipment.”
Guide leader Gemma Tanner said: “We are extremely grateful to Sussex Police for this kind donation that will allow us to replace a very old and now useless laptop that is used across both the Rainbow and Brownie units based at St Helen’s Church in Hangleton.”
The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund, made up of money received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.
