A severe weather warning has been issued for fog, which could reduce visibility down to 50m in some areas.
The Met Office warning, issued at 9.46pm this evening, covers the south of England and is valid from now until midday tomorrow.
It says: “Patches of thick fog will affect central and southern England and South Wales during Saturday night and Sunday morning.
“Please be aware that low visibility could lead to extended journey times and difficult driving conditions in places.
“Fog has reformed in places during Saturday evening and will affect many southern areas at times overnight and during Sunday morning, with isolated patches persisting well into the afternoon.
“The visibility will be very variable, but locally reducing to 50-100 metres.”
