A Brighton road was closed last night after a man was stabbed.
Police received several calls aftrr a fight broke out on St Luke’s Terrace at 5.45pm.
After the victim was found nearby, the terrace and part of Queens Park Road were sealed off while forensic officers combed the area.
A police spokeswoman said last night: “At about 5.45pm on Friday 9th December 2016 police were called to an assault in St Luke’s Terrace, Brighton.
“A 36-year-old male victim with two stab wounds was located a short distance away and is currently in a stable condition in hospital.
“Parts of St Luke’s Terrace and Queens Park Road were closed whilst the scene was examined by forensic officers, but is now open.
“Police would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard a disturbance in the area, and they are asked to call 101 quoting reference 1214 of 9 December.”
