Officers from Sussex Police are investigating an unexplained sudden death in Hove today (Sunday 27 November).
The force said: “Police were called around 2pm to a property in Stapley Road, Hove, where a man had sadly been found dead.
“His death is being treated as unexplained at this stage.”
Neighbours on the Knoll estate believe that the man who was found dead had been suffering from a terminal illness.
The lines of questioning are believed to revolve around whether the man’s death was hastened and, if so, who was responsible and how it happened.
Police did not say whether anyone had been arrested but they were not looking for anyone in connection with the death.
