A drink driver from Brighton has been threatened with prison after his fourth conviction and banned from the road for five years.
Jaunia Micka, of Hollingdean Road, Brighton, was caught driving a Mercedes van in Lottbridge Drove, Eastbourne, on Thursday 3 November by Sussex Police.
He had drunk about three and a half times the legally permitted amount of alcohol.
At Hastings Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (17 November) he admitted having 121 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.
Micka was given a 16-week prison sentence suspended for a year because of the seriousness of the offence, the high reading and the fact that it was his fourth drink driving conviction.
He was given a rehabilitation order and told to carry out 240 hours of supervised unpaid work over the coming year.
Micka was also banned from driving for five years and ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.
