A man has been arrested after a disturbance at Portslade Railway Station – the second day running that there was a fracas at the station.
Sussex Police said: “Police were called to Victoria Road in Portslade at 5.13pm on Tuesday (15 November) to reports of a drunken man attacking people at the railway crossing.
“A number of officers were deployed to scene to assist with detaining the man.
“A 35-year-old man from Portslade was arrested on suspicion of assault by beating and being drunk and disorderly in a public place.”
He remained in custody yesterday (Wednesday 16 November).
The night before a man caused a commotion at the station before clambering on to rooftops in Boundary Road, Hove. Police were called out but the man managed to escape.
