A man will be brought before magistrates after a two-hour stand-off on scaffolding behind Brighton Town Hall.
Sussex Police said: “A man arrested following an incident in Bartholomew Square, Brighton, on Saturday afternoon (29 October) is to appear before the city’s magistrates.
“Jason Lee Nash, aged 26, of no fixed address, has been charged with causing a public nuisance by shouting and throwing items from the top of scaffolding in the centre of a busy shopping area.
“He has also been charged with criminal damage to an office desk, office items and a plant pot belonging to Brighton and Hove City Council.
“Mr Nash has been bailed to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 17 November.”
