Brighton and Hove firefighters have been called to tackle a blaze at County Hall in Lewes this morning (Monday 31 October).
The fire, which started on the second floor of the East Sussex County Council officers, was reported at about 6.45am.
The building was evacuated safely with no reports of injuries.
More than half a dozen fire crews have been sent to the scene in St Anne’s Crescent, including from Hove and Roedean in Brighton.
Drivers were warned to expect delays in Western Road and High Street, Lewes.
The fire was out shortly after 10am and an investigation is under way to establish the cause of the blaze.
