A man suffered serious injuries and had to be cut from his car after a rush-hour crash in Hove this morning (Friday 14 October).
Shirley Drive – a key route into the centre of Hove – was closed for more than an hour while the emergency services dealt with the crash and its aftermath.
Sussex Police said: “At 8.30am emergency services were called to a two-car collision at the junction of Shirley Drive and The Droveway, Hove.
“One driver was believed to have sustained serious injuries and was being cut free from his car by firefighters.
“The vehicles involved were a Ford Focus and a Mercedes-Benz E220.
“Road closures were made and traffic diverted around the scene. Closures were removed just before 10am.”
