It was business as usual in one key respect – the Brighton Summit drew a big crowd.
Hundreds of business men and women attended the annual conference organised by the Brighton and Hove Chamber of Commerce.
The star speakers included Luke Johnson, who bought the Palace Pier earlier this year, Higgidy Pies founders Camilla Stephens and Mark Campbell and lifesaving syringe inventor Marc Koska.
The theme for the day was desire – as almost every business starts with desire … for money, success or perhaps the desire to be your own boss.
There were also workshops, expert panels and a healthy dose of fun, with local producers Bison Beer and Brighton Gin fuelling the after-party.
The summit was held at the Clarendon Centre, in New England Street, Brighton.
