A suspect has been arrested after the public chased a man on hearing a woman screaming in her home in Brighton.

Police were called to Preston Road at around 4.25pm on Sunday (11 September) after a woman reported finding a man in her hallway. She tried to stop him as he left and he ran northwards along Preston Road before turning into Argyle Road.
A man was stopped by members of the public and arrested by police.
Anthony Kirsten, 37, of no fixed address has been charged with burglary and threatening a person with a bladed article in a public place. He will appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (13 September).
