Brighton & Hove Albion 0 Brentford 1
The Albion trail the Bees by a goal to nil. Scott Hogan broke free to score past David Stockdale and a despairing dive from Albion’s home debutant Shane Duffy.
Albion have had chances through Glenn Murray and Beram Kayal.
Brentford nearly doubled their lead but Hogan’s shot was parried by Stockdale’s leg.
Right on half time Albion had a great chance to level as Murray directed a header back across goal but Tomer Hemed was unable to force it home.
Hemed was then lucky to escape with just a booking after appearing to push a Brentford defender.
