A drugs raid at a Whitehawk house resulted in a haul of what is believed to be amphetamines and class A drugs and the arrest of three people this week.
Brighton officers raided the house in Maresfield Road shortly before midday on Tuesday. As well as searching the house, police also took away a fridge which had been dumped at a nearby bus stop and combed the garden.
One neighbour said: “Sussex Police were there all afternoon. A freezer had been dumped at the local bus stop which now the police have taken.
“They’ve also been seen checking the garden with some kind of detector. It looks pretty serious.”
A police spokesman said: “Three people have been arrested after a warrant was executed at an address in Maresfield Road, Brighton at around 11:55am on Tuesday (30 August).
“A quantity of what are believed to be amphetamines were found at the address and a quantity of class A drugs were also seized.
“Three people, two men and a woman, have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences and have been bailed until 28 October pending further enquiries.”
