Brighton & Hove Albion 3 Nottingham Forest 0
Albion went top of the Football League with an emphatic win over Forest.
Two second half goals from the returning Glenn Murray. His first at home for the Albion for over 5 years. Remarkably he now has six at the Amex. It was the second time Murray had scored on his Albion home debut the previous time being back in January 2008 at Withdean
The other goal was an opener from Anthony Knockeart on the half hour. After good work from Gaetan Bong and Murray
Bong showed why Albion missed him when he was injured last season. As he got forward well from full back.
Pajtim Kasami and Oliver Burke went close for Forest.
Steve Sidwell and Jiri Skalak combined well throughout the match, in front of 25,748 and the Sky camera’s.
There was an period of applause in the 43rd minute for Albion in the community boss Gary Townsend, who passed away in June.
The Seagulls looked the business. The only worry on the night, an injury to David Stockdale after he collided with Bong near the end.
Lewis Dunk went in goal, but it was Albion who had at least two other chances to score again.
The Seagulls next take on Rotherham at the Amex on Tuesday 16th with a 7:45 kick off.
