One of Hove’s most popular street parties returns tomorrow (Saturday 23 July) with the prospect of beautiful sunshine, live music and a tug-of-war.
The Stirling Place Street Party, in Stirling Place, Hove, starts with a lunch for the locals at noon with guests invited to join the fun from 1.30pm.
The main musical attraction will be a local band, the Catfish Kings, with DJs in the Foragers pub from 6pm.
As well as the tug-of-war, there will be races for the kids – and the big kids – face-painting, stalls and a raffle. For those living in the street, there will be a prize for the best-dressed house.
Plus the Foragers pub is laying on a Pimms and mojito stall to help people cope with the heat.
AND we are delighted that “Dirty Weekend” are also playing for us again this year, performing a mixture of their own originals, including their infamous “Dirty Weekend in Brighton!” track, and some fantastic cover versions. They got everyone up dancing last year, so bring your dancing boots and come and check them out! They are on around 3.45pm! Catfish Kings will be kicking off our live music at 2pm!
