Emmaus is offering tours of is historic Portslade site during the charity’s summer fair today (Saturday 25 June).
The tours are one of the ways in which the charity is marking 25 years of supporting homeless people in Britain.
Today is the Emmaus Brighton and Hove branch open day and summer fair at its home in Drove Road, Portslade.
The charity said: “Emmaus Brighton and Hove is one of 28 communities in the UK, providing a home and meaningful work for people who have experienced homelessness.
“The 47 companions supported there, all of whom have experienced homelessness themselves, are among more than 700 people receiving support across the UK.
“To mark this anniversary year, Emmaus Brighton and Hove is inviting customers and supporters to join them for their open day and summer fair.”
The event runs from 10am to 4.30pm and includes entertainment, music, food and stalls.
Proceeds from the sale of goods in the secondhand superstore will go to support Emmaus communities in other parts of the world.
The charity added: “Discover the fascinating history of the Emmaus buildings today with a guided tour.
“The tour last approximately 15 minutes starting on the hour at the entrance to the chapel.”
The first tour was at 11am and the last one is at 4pm.
