While thousands will celebrate Pride in Brighton and Hove on Saturday 6 August, Albion will play their opening league fixture against Derby County at the stadium formerly known as Pride Park.
The Seagulls are due to end the campaign against the early promotion favourites Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday 7 May.
It’s a similar twist to last season when Middlesbrough were widely fancied among the promotion favourites.
The Seagulls are scheduled to be at home on both Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve against Queens Park Rangers and Cardiff City respectively.
Albion’s last scheduled home match is against newly promoted Bristol City on Saturday 29 April.
