Another day, another set of rail delays – but to make a change, today’s cancellations are mainly down to a technical fault.
Signalling problems have brought trains between Hove and Brighton to a grinding halt since just before noon. It was initially hoped that this would cause minor delays, but by 12.30pm, the line was completely blocked.
However, the fault has now fixed, and Network Rail says it hopes services will be back to normal by 2pm.
It said: “A points failure at Hove has now been fixed and services are returning to normal. Delays of up to 30 minutes to journeys between Worthing and Brighton / Burgess Hill are expected until 2pm.”
