A vigil is being held at a Brighton church this evening (Friday 17 June) after the murder of Labour MP Jo Cox in her constituency yesterday.
Brighton, Hove and District Labour Party has organised the vigil at St Nicholas Church, in Dyke Road, Brighton, from 7pm to 9pm.
A Facebook page has been created to share the details of the vigil. It said: “Yesterday Jo Cox MP was murdered. She leaves behind her husband Brendan and two young children, and a party and country devastated by her loss.
“Come together tonight at St Nicholas’ Church to remember her and pay tribute in an interfaith service with the Rev Chris McDermott.”
Shortly after the page was set up dozens of people said that they would be going.
