The new head of a Brighton secondary school is to take up her post after the half-term holiday – on Monday 6 June.
Kate Williams is joining Longhill from Strood Academy in Medway, Kent, where she is vice principal.
She takes over from Richard Bradford, who has been executive head since last November when he stepped in the old head Hayden Stride left the top job.
The governors said: “The governing board of Longhill are delighted to announce that new head teacher Kate Williams will be commencing at Longhill after the half-term holiday on Monday 6 June.
“The whole school community is very much looking forward to welcoming Ms Williams and is delighted that she will be able to spend the second half of the summer term with us.
“Richard Bradford, who has been executive head teacher at Longhill since last November, will be leaving Longhill and returning to his role as head teacher at Dorothy Stringer.
“On behalf of the governing board and the whole school community, everyone at Longhill would like to thank Mr Bradford for his invaluable support to the school during this period.”
