Chris Hughton told Brighton & Hove News this lunchtime that he instructed his players to keep patient, be first to the ball and keep their shape, whilst they weathered the storm when under the cosh in the first half against Fulham last Friday.
“They were better in possession” said Hughton as he discussed the twenty minutes of Friday nights game. ” but they probably didn’t threaten us as much as they would have liked to” The Albion boss continued ” I think the initiative of getting they first goal however it came then spurred us on – and there was a real desire even at two or three to extend that lead.
Hughton also told @bhcitynews that training and preparation won’t change for these last four scheduled matches , starting with QPR Tuesday night (19 April) and he hoped to continue to have good training groups going forward. But alas legendary Seagulls striker Bobby Zamora won’t be available to face another of his old clubs.
Hughton revealed to Brighton & Hove News that “we’re still pushing with Bobby and trying to get the most out of him – but he won’t make tomorrow”
Albion face QPR in the penultimate scheduled home fixture of the season at the Amex. In what is expected to be a sellout .
