Brighton property developer Mike Holland has been sent for trial by jury at the crown court, charged with manslaughter after the death of a workman at Stanmer House.
Holland, 68, of King’s Road, Brighton, and his foreman Grant Oakes, 45, of Portland Road, Hove, formerly of Elm Drive, Hangleton, appeared before Brighton magistrates this morning (Thursday 14 April).
They were both bailed until Thursday 12 May.
They are accused of unlawfully killing David Clark, 55, of Dyke Road Avenue, Hove. He died on Tuesday 28 October 2014 after falling from a building in the stable block at the house four weeks earlier on Tuesday 30 September.
Holland and Oakes are expected to plead not guilty.
