The Save Preston Park Cycle Track Campaign is holding a public meeting on Monday (11 April) and asking as many supporters as possible to come along.
The cycle track campaigners said: “We will be discussing the future of the campaign and plans to make Preston Park Velodrome sustainable as a sporting venue well into the future.
“We are have this meeting to discuss the further plans of the Preston Park Velodrome Steering Group.
“Everybody is invited to join this meeting to discuss the future of the track and to hear what the steering group is planning.”
The meeting is due to take place at Knoyle Hall, in Knoyle Road, Brighton, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Monday.
As long as any further expenditure is raised form the ‘cycle track campaigners’ rather than being funded by the city as a whole.
They won their fight to get the cycle track (sorry – I still can’t call it a velodrome) repaired, so perhaps it is time for more facilities to be provided in other parts of the city – how about a cycle track in Hove Park?
