A man has appeared in court charged with rape and false imprisonment after a house in Brighton was combed by forensics officers last week.
Ryan Anderson, 22, of Harsleden Gardens in north west London, has been remanded to crown court charged with two counts of rape, one count of sexual assault, actual bodily harm, false imprisonment and breach of harassment order.
He was charged last Monday as officers from the Met examined the Brighton address, and appeared at Bromley Magistrates Court on Tuesday. He will next appear at Wood Green Crown Court on Monday, 11 April.
It is not clear at this stage what connection the Brighton address, which cannot be disclosed for legal reasons, has to the offences.
