The i360 has announced its viewing pod has officially been licensed as a wedding venue, with the first couple due to tie the knot at 450 feet in September.
Brighton and Hove’s superintendent registrar, Trevor Love, will oversee marriage and civil partnership ceremonies at the tourist attraction, which is also offering the West Pier toll booths and its beachside venue as a location for couples to say their vows.
Eleanor Harris, CEO of British Airways i360, said: “Originally we intended to take wedding bookings from February 2017, but due to popular demand, we have brought this forward so that our first ceremonies will start from September 2016 and we have already got couples booked.”
