Brighton firefighters were called out after loose masonry put passers-by at risk in a busy town centre street yesterday evening (Wednesday 20 January).
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said that fire crews were called to reports of a dangerous structure in North Street, Brighton.
The fire service said: “Two appliances from Preston Circus, including the aerial ladder platform, were mobilised to the scene on North Street at 7.13pm.
“Crews used the aerial ladder platform to remove loose masonry and make the area safe. The area was left cordoned off for safety.
“Firefighters left the scene at 8.04pm.”
