Brighton and Hove Albion may be on the verge on their first transfer window activity after arranging to sign Richie Towell and Liam Ridgewell prior to Friday 1 January.
Attacking midfielder Anthony Knockaert is expected to sign for the Seagulls in the next few hours.
Knockaert helped Leicester City to promotion in 2014 and has represented France at under-21 level.
The 24-year-old signed for Standard Liege last June and it is the Belgian club that suggested that the player travel from the club’s training camp to discuss terms with the Albion.
