Whitehawk’s dream of playing Everton at Goodison Park is over as they went out of the FA Cup to League Two side Dagenham & Redbridge.
Danny Mills put the Hawks ahead on 18 minutes after great work from Jake Robinson.
Kyle Vassell equalised for the Daggers a minute before half time.
Prior to the goal there was confusion as Hawks centre half Dean Leacock was substituted despite protesting he was not injured.
Daggers went back in front after veteran forward Jamie Cureton ran at the Hawks defence and played the ball across the penalty area , for Joshua Pashley to stab home.
Hawks pushed forward and Robinson forced a save from Jamie Cousins in the visitors goal.
But in injury time, just as the first match, Hawks drew level as Juan Cruz Gotta headed in from a corner.
But tiring Hawks couldn’t keep out Dagenham and Ayo Obileye scored the final decisive goal in extra time.
Whitehawk tried to reply and had one final goal mouth scramble , but couldn’t get find an opening.
Hawks will now continue to try and achieve promotion to the national league.
