Whitehawk FC will have a dream FA Cup third round tie if they can beat Dagenham and Redbridge next week. Their prize – an away match at Premiership Everton. Even the Seagulls haven’t played the Toffees since 1983.
But the Hawks will have to overcome their League Two opponents at the Enclosed Ground next Wednesday (16 December) if they are to earn a trip to Goodison Park. The replay is due to kick-off at 7.45pm.
Albion were the last team out of the hat and have a less inspiring match away to Championship promotion rivals Hull City.
In fact it will very likely be Hull City v Brighton and Hove Albion Reserves. The Seagulls clearly have other ambitions this season.
Ties will be played over the weekend of Friday 8 January to Monday 11 January.
