Albion boss Chris Hughton is happy with the pressure of being at the top end of the league and is pleased to hear what other managers and players are saying about the Seagulls.
Our reporter Tim Hodges reminded the Albion boss of the compliments both Hull midfielder Tom Huddlestone and his Birmingham counterpart Gary Rowet paid his team last weekend.
Hughton responding by telling Brighton and Hove News that he thought the Albion were genuinely a good side and the pressure that comes with that is the pressure that you want to have.
He said: “We keep telling players that we absolutely prefer the pressure of individuals saying nice things about us than the pressure of being at the other end of the table.”
He went on to say: “We have good experience in the team but you have to manage the ups and downs.
“Overall this season we have had a good level of performance but we know it can’t be like that all the time and when you do have a dip or are struggling to score a goal that you can get back to better ways.”
