Police are seeking a man who robbed staff of cash at knifepoint at the post office in Ditchling yesterday afternoon.
At about 2.15pm on Wednesday a member of staff at Ditchling Post Office, in Lewes Road, Ditchling, was approached by the man who threatened him with a knife and demanded cash from the till.
The staff member was forced to hand over several hundred pounds and the robber fled on foot into South Street, and then into Beacon Road, where he got into a silver car, which drove off in the direction of Brighton. No make or model for the car is known at this stage.
The victim was shaken by the incident, but is otherwise unharmed.
The attacker is described as a white man of Mediterranean appearance, aged around 30, 5ft 9in, and of slim build with black hair and dark eyes. He was wearing a medium grey jacket with a hoody underneath.
