A Brighton charity, the Connor Saunders Foundation, is holding a fundraising event from 11am to 3pm today (Sunday 22 November).
Connor’s Christmas Coffee Morning is taking place at the Enclosed Ground – home of Whitehawk FC.
As well as coffee and cakes, the organisers promised activities for children, stalls and performances.
The charity was set up after Connor, from Woodingdean, was killed at the age of 19 after being hit with a single punch on a Saturday night in April 2012.
The teenage footballer and plasterer was an organ donor who gave life and better health to five people as a result of transplants after his death.
And the charity set up in his name has provided, among other things, more than 20 defibrillators to local schools, football clubs and youth clubs.
