Job seekers from across Sussex are invited to a free workshop run by Albion in the Community (AITC) in partnership with American Express.
Delivered over two days, the Get Ready to Work workshop takes place on 19 and 26 November at the American Express Community Stadium and Amex’s John Street headquarters.
Up to 25 unemplyed people from Sussex will be helped into apprenticeships or jobs with help on writing CVs, interview role play and job hunting.
Ivan Mainprize, vice president at American Express, said: “Get Ready to Work has been developed to encourage job seekers of all ages to realise their employment potential.
“It provides guidance and builds confidence to assist participants with showcasing their strengths and skills to potential employers.”
Launched earlier this year, the workshop is of AITC and Amex’s Realise the Potential of the Community in which employers volunteer to help the Sussex community in the areas of education, sports, disability, health and social inclusion.
Rawshan Chowdhury from Brighton, who participated in an April workshop said: “I gained lots of invaluable information to help me understand the job market and to use in my job search.” Rawshan has since found employment as a freelance community interpreter in Sussex Interpreting Services.
