Comedians Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer have cancelled their gig at the Brighton Centre after Bob Mortimer had a triple heart bypass.
They were scheduled to bring their show 25 Years of Reeves and Mortimer – The Poignant Moments to the Centre on Friday 4 December.
Refunds can be obtained from the point of purchase.
Vic Reeves said: “I’m so pleased the operation has gone well and Bob is fixed. Many thanks to the surgeon.”
A spokesman for Bob Mortimer said: “Bob would like to thank his consultant and all the nursing staff at the hospital for looking after him so well.
“He now needs several weeks to fully recover so unfortunately the first leg of the UK tour will be cancelled.
“Bob very much hopes to be fit and well enough to perform the second leg in January next year.”
The first leg of the tour was due to start in just over a week’s time and end in Brighton.
Mortimer, 56, studied law at Sussex University.
