A basement fire broke out in a Brighton street last night, leaving one person needing medical attention.
Two fire engines from Preston Circus and one officer attended the incident in Kemp Street, North Laine, at 8.53pm last night.
On attendance crews confirmed the fire was located in the basement area of the property and used breathing apparatus, one hose reel and foam to extinguish the fire.
The cause was confirmed as accidental and firefighters spent time at the scene ventilating before leaving at 11.14pm.
One casualty was taken in to the care of South East Coast Ambulance Service.
