A singer-songwriter was the surprise guest at a school assembly in Portslade, laid on to reward the best behaved pupils.
Nathan Sykes, 22, who made his name in The Wanted, sang his first single Kiss Me Quick on stage at the Portslade Aldridge Community Academy (PACA). He also performed new single Over and Over Again
The year 7, 8 and 9 students in the audience were being rewarded for their 100 per cent attendance and good conduct.
They got to ask the former boy band singer questions and took a few selfies too.
Head teacher Katie Scott praised Nathan Sykes’s determination and how hard he’d worked for a sustained period of time – and example she wants her students to follow.
