A man fell from a wall into a basement in Brighton early yesterday morning (Thursday 1 October).
Firefighters used a harness to left him to street level where he was treated by paramedics.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said that the man had been drinking before his fall, in Old Steine, Brighton.
The fire service said: “East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called by South East Coast Ambulance Service to assist with a fallen casualty in Brighton yesterday.
“Two appliances from Preston Circus attended the incident in Old Steine at 1.09am on 1 October.
“Firefighters used line rescue equipment and a triple extension ladder to rescue the casualty who was left in the care of paramedics.”
