Firefighters from Preston Circus were called to reports of smoke at a property in Brighton this morning.
Two appliances attended the incident on Varndean Gardens at 9:13am. On arrival crews confirmed there was a small fire in the airing cupboard.
They used breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, which was confirmed as accidental.
A Home Safety Visit was provided to the residents before crews left the scene at 10.10am.
