A 16-year-old boy from Hove has been bailed by Brighton magistrates after being charged with robbery and having an imitation gun.
The boy, who is not being named for legal reasons, appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (26 September).
He is due back in court tomorrow (Tuesday 29 September).
He was accused of holding up a corner shop – Elm Stores in Hangleton – and stealing £500 at gunpoint from a 20-year-old shop assistant.
Sussex Police said: “A 16-year-old boy appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (26 September).
“He was remanded on conditional bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (29 September).”
