Brighton & Hove Albion 1 Hull City 0
The table-topping Seagulls lead second-placed Hull City 1-0 at the Amex at half time.
Albion took the lead with a fifth-minute goal by Tomer Hemed.
Both ex-Tigers players Liam Rosenior and Sam Baldock were involved in the build up after Hull keeper Allan McGregor spilled Baldock’s original shot into Hemed’s path.
Hemed had a chance to double Albion’s lead after good work by Rosenior but side-footed his effort wide.
Hull have done little to trouble David Stockdale in the Albion goal so far.
Ipswich Town missed a chance to go top last night (Friday) when they were trounced at Reading. Likewise QPR when they lost the lunchtime match today 2-1 at home to Nottingham Forest.
