A Hove man is due to be sentenced today (Friday 11 September) for his part in a gang of paedophiles who raped and abused babies and small children.
Matthew Lisk, 33, has admitted being involved in the sexual abuse of a four or five-year-old boy.
Lisk engaged in a sex act with a married man while they watched over the internet as an associate – David Harsley from Humberside – committed a sex act in front of the boy.
Other members of the gang have admitted or been convicted of about 30 offences including the rape of a child and conspiring to rape a child.
Robert Davies, prosecuting, described the gang members as sick, depraved, cruel and callous.
He told Bristol Crown Court that the gang had travelled considerable distances for the chance to carry out their attacks.
They used chatrooms and Skype and screened the abuse over the internet to other paedophiles.
Judge Julian Lambert said that he would sentence the defendants today although it was possible that he might need a second day.
