Celebrity jockey Frankie Dettori is expected to make a rare appearance at Brighton races this Friday.
The former champion jockey and media personality is expected to ride Aledaid in the ‘Harry Bloom Memorial Brighton Bullett’ over five furlongs.
Bloom was the late grandfather of current Albion chairman Tony.
The three day racing festival starts today.
Thursday sees Ladies’ Day and one of Brighton’s biggest races of the season, The Brighton Challenge Cup Handicap, run over one mile three furlongs and formerly won by The Queen.
Racing starts at 1:50pm each day.
